BETTY SPALTON SCHOLARSHIP Application Deadline May 31st annually This scholarship was established to provide financial support to individuals obtaining an education in fields that may lead to careers related to road building and heavy construction industries. BRITISH COLUMBIA ELECTRICAL ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Application Deadline in late June (Check website for updated application) Several different scholarships available. BURGER KING SCHOLARS PROGRAM Applications accepted mid-October to mid-December (check website for details) Created in memory of BURGER KING co-founder James W. McLamore, Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service. Applicants must:

HEBDEN CHEMISTRY BURSARY Application deadline typically mid-May (Check website for current information) The Jim Hebden Chemistry $1000 Bursary will be awarded to a student who has performed service for his/her school and/or community while maintaining the grades in science that are necessary for success in post-secondary education. JENNIFER WADGE MEMORIAL SOCIAL JUSTICE AWARD Check Website for updated application deadlines The Jennifer Wadge Memorial Social Justice Award was created to commemorate the former president of the Surrey Teacher's Association (STA), Jennifer Wadge, and honour her commitment to the social justice values. There are six awards of $2,000 each (two for graduating children of STA members and four for students graduating from Surrey schools).
